COMMISSIONING

In a perfect world, every new piece of equipment would work faultlessly from the moment it was installed and initiated until the first breakdown occurred many years later. In reality, this rare for most industrial equipment.

Consumer goods like cars or mobile phones rarely run into warranty issues because these huge manufacturers exhaustively test, improve and inspect both the design and the production processes on thousands of units. Industrial process equipment tends be produced in small batches or even made-to-order; so the bugs don’t get worked out at in their scaled-down design and manufacturing cycles.

When the equipment arrives for installation we may find some components were damaged during shipment, or that the equipment has a few variations to the original design.

MAK Process Equipment’s commissioning technicians are qualified experts who apply creativity, and critical reasoning to a tried and tested commissioning process to get your equipment operating at its best from the start.

Proper commissioning of equipment can extend useful life and quality commissioning is an essential component of a high performance asset management program.
