BOARD MEMBERS
Peter Hood AO
Chairman
Peter Hood AO was Coogee Chemicals’ CEO from 1998 to 2005 and CEO of Coogee Resources from 2005 to early 2009. He has over 35 years’ experience in the development of projects in the resources and chemicals industries and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Programme.
Peter is currently a non-executive director of Matrix Composites and GR Engineering. He has been a Director of the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association Limited (APPEA), Chairman of the APPEA Health Safety and Operations Committee, and is a past President of the Western Australian and Australian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Andy Byk
CEO
Andy is a mechanical engineer with an MBA and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Programme.
Andy was educated in the UK and started a career in the chemical processing industry working for Cussons in the UK and in Africa. Since migrating to Australia in 1994 he has spent ten years in a number of senior operational and commercial roles for Wesfarmers and in the engineering and construction industry. In addition to his role at MAK Water Andy is the Chairman of the manufacturing Committee and member of the General Council at the WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
As the CEO of MAK Water since 2009 Andy has developed the business to where it is now a recognised leader in water and wastewater technology with plants installed across Australia and overseas.
Gary Steinepreis
Non-Executive Director & Company Secretary
Gary is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from UWA. Gary provides corporate, management and accounting advice to a number of companies involved in the resource, technology and leisure industries.
Gary is a director of several mining and resource companies and is managing director of Ascent Capital Pty Ltd, which specialises in the reconstruction and recapitalisation of listed companies.
Tom Henderson
Non-Executive Director
Tom is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from UWA.
Tom has over 20 years’ experience in corporate finance and was previously the managing partner of Deloitte Perth corporate finance. He is currently a director of several privately owned resources services companies.
